The timing belt and waterpump were replaced at a local garage 20 months ago. Over the last 12 months and maybe 8k I have had to start topping up coolant occasionally, around 3 litres in total.

TRY 5LT as my 2012 2.3lt 130 hand book said 5.3lt sump and .6lt oil filter but in practise you don't get all the old oil out about 1lt still in the system . Just changed mine last week. Got to see the dealer this week to get the oil & service light switched off .
Apart from moving off in 1st and reversing, the 3.0ltr is a superb set up. If you can live with the judder and the possible consequences the 3.0 is the better unit. If buying used you MUST take the van for a test drive. If it's a 3.0 ltr make sure you get the engine warm and try a run on a motorway/dual carriageway.
